Caller ID Number lets you see the telephone number of the person calling before you answer the phone. Caller ID Name & Number allows you to see both the telephone number and the name of the person calling. Seeing the number and/or name will help you decide if you want to answer the call. You can use the Caller ID to screen calls, keep a record of the calls received and provide security by deciding which calls to answer.

A display unit that, attached to the phone, shows the telephone names and/or number. Most display units store the number, name, time and date of calls even if you do not answer the phone. If the party, you call has Caller Id, their display unit will show your number and/or name.
